As-built drawings shows the existing conditions of a building or a construction as it's built. These are the actual existing conditions, in opposite to working drawings or proposed design.As-built drawings can be documented either during or after construction. 3D laser scanning provides opportunities to reconstruct these drawings. This enables you to control the deviation, changes occuring during the process, or reconstruct missing or incomplete drawings in the first place. This makes it possible to make adjustments during the building process. This also makes it possible to get a serial effect in mass productions, or repetitive work. An example would be a feedstock ship hull provided with no markings for the cable streets, pipelines or other installations etc. Another example is fragments of a bridge, where the merging of several items needs great accuracy. |
