This is the process of “reverse engineering” where technical drawings of objects are made from 3D Scanning and 3D Modelling. These drawings, which can be any delivered in any CAD format, are based on As-built data and offer control over quality and cost during or after constructions. This is also used by organisations to record their operations as a digital archive and later use it to produce similar elements.
Other advanatges are:

  • Obtaining drawings of structures which do not have drawings.
  • Conservation and preservation of structures and objects.
  • Easier planning for changes in structure and volume calibration.
  • Better control and monitoring of repair works.

Final 2D drawing with As-Built data.

The final deliverables will be the 3D CAD models and 2D drawings. The data is based on As-Built model and can be compared with thereotical models for comparison and deviation.
